KS III Implant
Osstem biedt het KS-implantaatsysteem duurzame stabiliteit voor patiënten en gemakkelijke toegang en manipulatie voor tandartsen. De oplossing heeft een interne HEX verbinding en een morseconus van 15 graden, wat zorgt voor een grotere hoekcompensatie. De hex verbinding zorgt ook voor een hoge structurele stabiliteit tegen externe belastingen.
Dankzij het KS abutment-houdersysteem vergemakkelijkt het systeem het plaatsen van abutmenten. Volgens Osstem blijven het KS-implantaat en de suprastructuur verbonden, zelfs voordat de schroef wordt vastgedraaid, en valt het abutment er niet uit, zelfs niet als het implantaat ondersteboven wordt gehouden en wordt geschud. Bovendien is de KS het enige implantaatsysteem op de markt dat met één hand kan worden gebruikt, waardoor de toegang en implementatie voor de tandarts wordt verbeterd. Osstem merkte ook op dat het systeem kan voorkomen dat de zittende bovenbouw omhoog wordt geduwd door het tandvlees of de verkeerde verbinding van de bovenbouw tijdens operaties zonder flappen.
Ten slotte is het oppervlak van het KS-systeem gecoat met barium, een superhydrofiele coating die de osseointegratie bevordert door de bloedadhesie te vergroten. De stof is 100% biologisch absorbeerbaar en biedt een uitstekende genezende werking, waardoor het slagingspercentage van tandheelkundige implantaten bij patiënten met botverlies wordt verbeterd. Volgens Osstem trekt barium bloed naar het titaniumoppervlak en zorgt het voor de snelle vorming van geweven bot, waardoor de initiële stabiliteit van implantaten wordt verbeterd en het vermogen van het implantaat om bot te vormen en zichzelf te verbouwen wordt vergroot.
